Elring’s story traces back to Stuttgart in 1879, when Paul Lechler established a business supplying technical products and gaskets. Gasket manufacturing followed in 1914, with cylinder-head gasket production beginning in 1924. In 1994, Elring merged with the automotive division of Richard Klinger to form ElringKlinger.
